Growing up in an artistic family, Jemima has been painting for as long as she can remember. She has strong family ties and connections to the environment of the Northern Rivers, Northern New South Wales. Jemima’s work is driven not just by the visible, tangible landscape but the spiritual and visceral connection to it. Impressionist and deeply feminine, her paintings are powerful documents of unspoken attachment to the world around us. Her love of the landscape and desire to capture the energetic aura of specific places and objects have become the subject matter for her work. Graduating from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Design in 2022, she was awarded two graduates prizes; a solo exhibition in the Northern Rivers Community Gallery, and the Kaske fellowships artist's grant to further her career in Scotland.
